It is still very cold, snowing and windy here. I sure hope it warms up some. As I said before winters are very long and if it is here to stay this early it would not be good. I really do love the UP but I sure wouldn't pick it as the place to live if I had my choice. I would visit here in June, July and August and live somewhere much more warmer. I guess we cant choose where are roots have been planted. Thanks MOM and DAD.
I picked up these cute little hangers this week and thought they would be nice for the small wall hanging patterns I posted earlier. The fabric is what I used to make a duvet cover for a small down comforter for Jillians (DGD) new toddler bed I got for the spare room. She is coming with her mother on Monday. I cant wait. I made the duvet yesterday and need to make a pillow case. I was wondering if anyone has ever made a sheet. The mattress is crib size and I have enough fabric left so I thought I would make some kind of cover for the mattress. This fabric is the softest flannel I ever felt. I couldn't resist it. I am even thinking of getting some more to make my other DGD Isabella a quilt with it. It is by Mayowood. Well if anyone has any ideas on a sheet or mattress cover let me know. Thanks have a good day and stay warm. I know I am going to try to.

Oh Toni I LOVE both that fabric and your hangers!! :) Where did you get your hangers? And google search for sheet measurements. That's an excellent idea. I think it's Jan Patek that makes her own sheets. I have several sets of flannels that I use but haven't made any myself yet. :) I also LOVE your snow but do understand that it would make for a very long winter if it is setting in now. But oh I DO love snow days!! LOL

I made fitted sheets for our bed. I just put the fabric on the bed and pinned the corners to fit. Then I made a casing all the way around and threaded elastic through. It worked out fine. Even easier with a crib sheet.
