And I am the one standing on the left - boy those were the days - Mom would have been 33 years old - with 5 kids and still one more to come. The more I experience in life, the more I respect her. Life is hard and she had more than her share of difficulties, but she dealt with each one with grace. I love you mom, thanks for raising me to be the woman I am.
Just catching up with blogs...and ran across yours again...I am sorry for your loss...I share the same sorrow as I lost my mom when she was just 57 to a stroke. She would have been 74 Jan. 1st of this year. Yes, those are special days and memories...that I am sure like me you will carry with you always.
Blessings... Teresa
P.S. I wrote a comment a while back explaining my connection to the UP...my DIL's family is from there...she loves to visit the UP and so does my son!
Toni... Oh! I love that your mom was named Theresa...too! I spell mine differently...Teresa...but I am sure it sounds the same...you know GREATNESS goes with the name... LOL...Another funny thing....my very best friends name is...Toni!!!Crazy stuff!!
So sorry your Mother can't be here with you to share her birthday. Sometimes life can be so unfair. I know you have wonderful memories of her and somehow it makes loved ones still near. Take care, Stephanie
I live in the wild heart of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on a inland lake. The winters are long and we are isolated from alot of things but nature is not one. I spend the long winters quilting in my spare time.

Happy Birtday to your mom, Toni. That day would be special to me too. She's smiling down on you I'm sure.
