The weather sure feels like fall and the color is bursting all around us. With the colder temps I have been wanting to do more sewing, cooking and cleaning, getting ready for the long hard winter that is ahead of us....I almost feel like the settlers but of course we have all the modern equipment to make life much more easier then they did. Winter in the northern UP is hard and long and not for the faint at heart...it will start snowing sometime in October and we be lucky to see the ground again in May....200 to 300 inches of snow is not alot around here...well enough of that...a good pot of chili on the stove and a great big stash of fabric is all I need...Hope you are staying warm....
