I was off all day today and it sure was nice...I spent the morning getting my mammogram and blood tests done..so that is out of the way...now the one week of wait and find out if everything is OK....I came home and finished a UFO and it is on the way to the quilters as I write this....I needed a twin quilt for my spare room and in going through the stuff I had started there were enough blocks for a twin quilt...it is the one on the rack in my pin cushion photo...so I finished sewing them together added 2 borders which I already had the fabric for, cut and sewed the backing that I already had and off it goes to Carol in Iron Mountain....there is a quilt show in Norway MI by Iron Mountain and the folks from our quilt shop in Michigamme are vending at it and I am not sure if Carol is but they are going to see her tonight and give her my quilt....so HIP HIP HOORAY!!! One down many more to go....It feels good to complete something...and of course in going to the quilt store to drop off my quilt I had to look around...so, so many nice new fabrics out ( I didn't buy any.. still trying to use some of my much to big stash)...but there was a book I asked them to order and it was in...I just love the quilts in it...it Kim Diehl Simple Traditions....just love the book..the props in her book are antiques so it is a nice book to look at...I hope they bring some of these books to the show because I think they will sell...well my DH is at a EMT conference in Marquette today so I am meeting him for dinner in town....so off I go....Have a good night...

I'm doing a happy dance with you, TJ! :) I adore Kim Diehl's stuff. She also has the book "Simple Blessings" which I think was her first book. Check it out...it's wonderful too!
