HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL! We got home on December 31 at 11pm and when our plane landed it was raining and as we drove toward our home 45 minutes from the airport it went from rain to freezing rain to snow....by the time we got home it was coming down pretty hard and in the morning we had 8 inches of new snow....we had a wonderful time with the kids and waking up to the clean white snow was like being blanketed in love and blessing from the previous year. We are so blessed as a family! Our children are wonderful kind adults, very caring, loving, nurturing parents and we couldn't be prouder of them. We are also blessed to be able to travel to see them...and since our son is in Detroit blessed to plan on getting bumps to spend time with him...We got to spend a whole eve and day with Ryan and Bella it was such a blessing to hold my granddaughter all day and spend time with our son....We are also blessed to have good health, good jobs and Great Friends and Family...So with this past year I have come to enjoy everything around me in a way I cant explain...but I know I am blessed....I am also blessed to be part of this network of quilters on these blogs...you are all friends to me and I enjoy you everyday...Thank you all for sharing your families, your life's, your crafts, your cooking, your pets and your everyday musings with me. To you all, have a happy, healthy, quilty year and keep sharing it...Sincerely, Toni

I'm so glad that you had a wonderful time with your family. Your snowy homecoming sounds perfect! Although I miss home, quilting and my boys...we've had plenty of TX h.e. while stranded. ((BG))

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Toni! I've missed ya, girlfriend! So glad to hear that you had such a lovely time with your family~making memories to hold close until you are with them again~and oh, I'm so envious of your snow--I would still love to have at least one good snow this Winter. :~)

It sounds like you had a scary drive home - though I guess maybe you are more used to that weather than most of us. I'm glad you made it, and happy to hear you had such a wonderful holiday. You are so right - we are so very blessed to have this online quilting community. Most of us can't share around a quilting frame like our foremothers did - so we've found ourselves a technological quilting frame called the Internet. How lucky we are!
